Tommy's musical arrangement of Advance Australia Fair has become the definitive and preferred version that is performed at major sporting and community events around the country. It was first commissioned by ABC Records in 1984 and then televised by Channel 10 in 1986 in their Australia Day Broadcast, featuring Julie Anthony AM, MBE as the soloist.
It was commissioned to be recorded in 1988 on cassette by the St George Building Society (as it was then known) and distributed free throughout their stores during our Bicentennial Year.
On New Years Eve 1988, Channel 9 commissioned an extended version of the Anthem, which was performed and televised around Australia on National TV.
2003 kicked off with Tommy being commissioned to arrange the music for the new Australian musical “GET HAPPY” which had its World Premiere at Star City Showroom, Sydney, on Wednesday 26th March, 2003.
He has also been commissioned by Symphony Australia to compose and arrange an overture to celebrate the West Australian Symphony Orchestra’s 75th Birthday.
