Virtuoso pianist, composer and arranger, the name of the Maestro Tommy Tycho is synonymous with musical excellence worldwide. Tommy has conducted all the ABC Symphony Orchestras and directed most of Australia's major musical productions, including nine Royal Command Performances and national tours by top international artists.
Tommy has performed with and arranged music for Australia’s leading performers including the late Peter Allen and Ricky May as well as living legends such as Olivia Newton John, Julie Anthony, John Farnham, Anthony Warlow, Andy Firth, Jill Perryman, Barry Crocker, Kamahl, James Morrison, David Campbell, Judy Connelli, Suzanne Johnstone, Jackie Love, James Blundell, Don Burrows, Marina Prior, Bernard Walz, Larrie Stellar, Gregg Arther, Rob Guest, Jimmy Little, Tommy Emmanuel, Normie Rowe and Rhonda Burchmore to name a few. Tommy is one of the few arrangers who can be at home with any genre of music.
Tommy has over 70 albums and thousands of orchestrations to his credit and has composed over 1500 pieces of music for film and television.
Service to the community remains a key concern for the Maestro. He is Patron of the Australian Entertainment ‘MO’ Awards and Artistic Patron of the City of Sydney Performing Arts Challenge and a consultant for the talent Development Project. Youth orchestras, brass and concert bands, choirs, music camp programmes and charitable organisations all continue to benefit from Tommy Tycho's vast experience and truly immense talent.
In 2003, Tommy celebrated his 57th year in the Music Industry and his 75th birthday.
