One of the most respected musicians in Australia, Tommy Tycho continues to be in demand in all aspects of the industry.
2003 saw Tommy being commissioned to arrange the music for the new Australian musical “GET HAPPY” which had its World Premiere at Star City showroom on Wednesday 26th March 2003. Another commission from Symphony Australia had Tommy compose and arrange an overture to celebrate the West Australian Symphony Orchestra’s 75th Birthday. Tommy was once again delighted to be part of the Tower Twilight at Taronga Concert Series.
Another highlight of the Year saw the Maestro conducting the QLD orchestra for four concerts with Anthony Warlow, ”An Evening with Anthony Warlow”
Tommy was Musical director/arranger/conductor for Anthony Warlow’s new album “Let’s Face the Music”
To finish off 2003, Tommy conducted the South Australian Symphony Orchestra in a Lounge concert.
2006 was another busy year for the Maestro as he celebrated 60 years in the Music Industry.
In April 2007, Tommy was bestowed with an honorary Doctorate of Music from the University of Sydney for his prolific contribution to music in Australia.
